Primary school pupils have received tips and advice from an Epping Forest Guardian reporter this week as they prepare for their annual nativity play.

The four to five-year-olds of Epping Primary School in Coronation Hill, Epping, were visited by Georgia Diebelius who answered questions on the job role of a reporter as part of the classes 'Great Grown Ups' project.

The project, which will also see the class create miniature newspapers, was organised by staff at the school to help educate youngsters on different job roles and prepare them for their nativity performance this month.

More than 59 pupils from the school, who are set to perform their nativity play 'Angel Express' which will see youngsters acting as photographers, camera men and reporters following the story of the birth of baby Jesus, gathered to hear a speech on how to write an article and conduct an interview.

Georgia said: "I am really happy to be involved in a project like this, it's great that so many of the children are interested in writing, especially at their current age.

"I think the idea of performing this years annual show through the perspective of the press is a great idea.

"I wish the school the best of luck with their production and who knows, maybe I will be working alongside some of these budding journalists in 15 years time!"
