A man has been fined £165 after being found guilty of attacking a police officer.
Jason Christopher Warters, 42, of Amwell Court in Waltham Abbey, was charged with possessing a quantity of cannabis in Waltham Abbey on October 29 last year as well as the assault of a policeman on the same day.
Warters entered no plea regarding the assault and was found guilty at Chelmsford Magistrates Court yesterday.
He was ordered to pay a £165 fine for the assault and a £33 fine for the possession of cannabis, as well as a £20 surchage and £650 in costs.
