More than 3,500 Scouts participated in a live fire safety demonstration this month.
Thousands of Scout leaders and explorers gathered at the demonstration, hosted by Chubb Fire and Safety Limited, at Gilwell Park in Bury Road, Waltham Abbey, on July 13.
Scouts were educated in how to extinguish numerous fires, including electrical and household objects, for their Fire Safety Badge.
Jane Garland of Chubb Fire & Security said: “It’s great to see strong participation by Leaders and Explorers.
“They are enhancing their knowledge and understanding of fire safety to keep them safe both now and in the future.”
