Staff at a secondary school have congratulated their students on "another year of tremendous hard work".
Students waited anxiously outside of West Hatch High School in High Road, Chigwell, this morning (August 20) to pick up their GCSE results.
The school has highlighted its top 2015 achievers as Georgia Roth, who achieved 11 A*'s and A's and Ruby Edwards, Anoushka Sharma, Fred Skipper, Jasmine Smith and Samantha Toplis, who all achieved nine A*'s and A's.
Matthew Drummond-Poynter, Billy Harris, Nawal Khan, Lucy Maddison and Sophia Vrahimi all achieved eight A*'s and A's.
Headteacher, Frances Howarth, said: “We are delighted for our students.
"These results reflect all the tremendous hard work put in by our pupils and staff.
"A number of our best performers heard their results via text as they are trekking with the school undertaking voluntary work in Kenya.
"So many of our students will now be able to progress to Sixth Form study at the school."
