A pair of men stole a a mobile phone and tossed it between themselves before attacking a 24 year-old.

At around 12.20am the male victim was travelling on the Central Line between Stratford and Loughton.

As the train pulled into its final destination, two men grabbed his phone and started throwing it between each other, goading the victim.

He managed to catch the phone but was then punched in the face by one of the men.

The victim fell to the floor grazing his leg.

He also was bruised from the punch.

Both suspects ran out of the station when a member of staff came to help the victim.

Detectives investigating the assault have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak with in connection.
