Families can enjoy arts, crafts or pond dipping at a fun day.
The Suntrap Education Centre, in Church Road, Waltham Abbey, is inviting people to the event.
Mayor of Waltham Forest Cllr Sally Littlejohn and Cllr Grace Williams, cabinet member for children, young people and families will attend, alongside Lizi Roberts-Egan, deputy chief executive.
It will be held on October 27 from 12 to 4pm.
Families can enjoy many hands on activities including pond dipping, meeting the Suntrap animals, trying out an orienteering course, making some crafts or enjoying a guided walk through the forest.
Light refreshments will be on sale.
