Fourteen people have been charged with drug offences after police raided 20 properties in a crackdown on gang activity and drug dealing.

One woman and 19 men were arrested on Wednesday, October 3 after officers swooped on addresses across east London and Essex, including in Walthamstow, Leytonstone, Chingford and Buckhurst Hill.

Aaron Wilks, 27, of Acacia Road, Walthamstow, Rio Millard, 27, of Leucha Road, Walthamstow, and Tre Tahar Fraser, 24, who is also from the Walthamstow area, have been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, namely crack cocaine and heroin.

Rahiem Baki, 21, of Princes Road, Buckhurst Hill and Mansoor Hussain, 30, of New North Road, Ilford are among three people charged with two counts of supplying crack cocaine and heroin.

Ahsan Iqbal, 23, of Stanmore Road, Leytonstone, is among three people who have been charged with one count of supplying Class A drugs.

Alison Wilks, 52, of Acacia Road, Walthamstow has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. She has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.

Three people have been charged with one count of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

The raids happened less than two weeks after a teenager was gunned down in Walthamstow’s Vallentin Road.

Four men who were arrested as part of Project Zariba which targets violent offenders and gangs in Waltham Forest and Newham, have been released under investigation.

Two men who were arrested after the raids, which involved the Met’s dog support unit and the National Police Air Service, have been released with no further action.

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Bradley Joseph-Bernard, 29, of Middleton Grove, Barking. He has been charged with two counts of supplying crack cocaine and heroin.

All suspects above have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, October 11).
