The iconic and loveable Pudsey Bear made an appearance at a Rotary Club.
The Children in Need star, known for his eye patch and cuddly nature, put in appearance for the Countryfile Ramble.
The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Epping.
Pudsey spent the week before touring local primary schools, encouraging children and their parents to get involved in raising funds for Children in Need.
He then started a five mile walk around the Copped Hall estate in Epping.
Over 70 adults, children and dogs took part in the walk, raising in excess of £400.
Organiser Maurice Jones said: “We were really pleased with the turnout for this new event, which we intend to run every year from now on. Children in Need is a fantastic charity, and the Rotary Club of Epping is delighted to make a valuable contribution”.
Epping Rotary is now gearing up to a busy Christmas, with Santa’s Sleigh being prepared for eight evenings in December.
He will travel around Epping, North Weald and Theydon Bois in bringing joy to young and old alike, while raising money for local charitable groups.
The final event in the yearly calendar is ‘Carols on the Green’, where thousands of people join the band and choir from Epping St John’s Music School for a communal singalong.
Everyone is welcome to attend this free event, starting at 3.30 pm on Christmas Eve on the Green at the north end of Epping High Street.
