An independent nursery is celebrating scooping the highest possible rating.
Following an Ofsted inspection on October 9, Scribbles Day Nursery in North Weald was given an 'outstanding' rating in a report published at the end of the month.
Inspector Jenny Forbes commended the nursery's staff for being "totally dedicated and incredibly hard-working" and for having "exceedingly high expectations of themselves and of what children can achieve."
She added: "Babies and children make exceptional progress in their learning.
"They are enthusiastic and extremely motivated learners.
"Staff are extremely attuned to children's emotional needs.
"They are immensely reassuring and successfully support children through transitions to new rooms and other settings."
Lesley Seville, managing director of the nursery, expressed her joy at the grading.
She said: "The words 'Ofsted Inspection' put fear into the bravest soul, wondering what they are going to find and if we are ready? "But the day was perfect and the staff were amazing.
"They just did what they do everyday. I am so proud of them.
"The parents gave us such glowing reports and we thank them for supporting us.
"Now to move forward and continue our journey to make us even better."
