A man has appeared in court charged with a string of serious offences.
David Brandon, 38, of Ongar Road, Stondon Massey, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court yesterday (November 8) and is due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Thursday, December 6.
He has been charged with using a firearm with intent to resist arrest, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of drugs following an incident in High Ongar.
It follows reports that an officer was sprayed with CS spray after stopping a vehicle on the A415 at around 4am on Tuesday, November 6.
Police also arrested a 47-year-old man from Boreham on suspicion of burglary and a 22-year-old man from Ongar on suspicion of possession of a knife.
They have been released on bail until Tuesday, December 4.
