The area's MPs was grilled by a group of school pupils during UK Parliament Week.
Epping Forest MP Dame Eleanor Laing visited Chigwell Row Infant School.
She met reception class children who showed the MP their artwork before she held a question and answer session with children in Years 1 and 2.
The children were ready with a wide range of questions including how big is the Houses of Parliament, why did Dame Eleanor chose to become an MP to what is her favourite fruit?
Dame Eleanor said: "It was a pleasure to visit the school and meet all the children.
"It was particularly nice to see some of the pictures which had been drawn by the reception children."
Dame Eleanor was presented with a thank you gift by the children, including one of the school's mugs which were produced to commemorate this year's Royal Wedding.
Headteacher Stephen Hale said: "We were all really pleased that Eleanor was able to visit us during Parliament Week.
"The children have been learning what Parliament is, the job that a Member of Parliament does and how laws are made."
