A woman has been slapped with a fine for causing too much noise on five different occasions.

Victoria Lawn was served with a Noise Abatement Notice on October 3, 2017 which required her to stop being an auditory nuisance and disturbing her neighbours on Brickenden Court, Waltham Abbey.

She ignored the notice and breached the sound restrictions five times between January 4 and May 26, 2018.

Ms Lawn failed to attend court twice and the offences were proved in her absence.

On May 26 Chelmsford's Magistrates Court handed her an £180 fine, £150 towards the district council’s prosecution costs of £150 and a victim surcharge of £30.

No further complaints have since been made to the council.
