School pupils swapped their abacuses for stethoscopes in a workshop that highlighted the health jobs available in the UK.
The mini medics from Debden Park High School Year 10 were challenged to become doctors and nurses nurses as they drew blood from a prosthetic arm and practised keyhole surgery.
They also played the role of optometrists with eye examinations.
Katerina Kyriacou, art teacher, said: "Not only did our Year 10 body demonstrate their maturity, intelligence and inquisitiveness, but they also showed interest in the field.
"We definitely have some future doctors in our midst.
"It is important for students to participate in workshops that will give them an insight into what amazing career opportunities are available once they leave Debden Park High School with their A-Levels."
