The cost of switching the lights back on in the district's towns has been revealed.
At the end of 2018 Essex County Council announced parish and town council could pay to have their street lamps kept on all night, rather than switched off at 1am.
For some, such as Abridge at £784.43 a year and Matching at £30.70, the cost is minimal.
Six others: Buckhurst Hill at £12,314.44, Chigwell at £16,136.96, Epping at £13,200.05, Loughton at £33,840.74, North Weald at £10,243.05 and Waltham Abbey at £27,237.75 will have to pay a five figure amount.
Elsewhere Nazeing would need to spend, £1,395.38, Ongar £4,903.85, Roydon £824.44, Sheering £3,364.68 and Stapleford Abbotts £172.74.
