A young man is in hospital with serious injuries following a broad-day light stabbing.
The 21-year-old victim from Buckhurst Hill was attacked by another man in Danbury Road, Loughton, at about 3.20pm on Monday, February 4.
The victim was taken to hospital with a wound to his abdomen after the suspect was reported to have fled the scene in a dark coloured vehicle.
DS Jody Greenfield, of Loughton CID, said: “Our investigation is in its early stages but we believe this was a targeted incident.
“We are continuing our search for the suspect and are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information that could help us identify him.”
Police would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and has dash cam footage.
Officers were patrolling the area yesterday evening to provide extra reassurance.
