Sometimes the skyline of a street defies the march of progress, but sadly sometimes streets are obliterated by the bulldozer.

The building is still as much of a presence as before, but the Co-op clings on only in the form of its funeral directors business.

Sadly they are gone today. The cottages were demolished when the A406 was built.
