Well done M&S for providing a bin for the plastics that the local authority cannot recycle. It isn't reasonable that we have to "check locally" several times a week, how would we describe the type of plastic we have?
Maybe it's time that Morrisons and Sainsburys should do likewise. It is to be applauded that M&S has volunteered to recycle not only their "unrecyclable" plastic but that of all the other supermarkets and shops in Loughton.
It is interesting to reflect that manufacturers can continue to produce wrappings which are in themselves unrecyclable thus leaving cash-strapped local authorities to take up the slack and be financially responsible for its disposal placing extra pressure on land fill capacity.
