AN investigation have been launched after three dear were found dead in the latest of a suspected spate of animal killings.
Essex Police believe the deer may have died through snaring or coursing after animals were discovered across Harlow on three separate occasions.
The first incident happened in Roydon in December. And since then two further reports of dead deer have come into the force.
Last Tuesday, three deer carcasses were found in woodlands off the greensward near Harlow Crematorium in Parndon Wood Road.
A spokesman for Essex Police urged anyone with any information to get in touch.
He said: “We are investigating whether the deer were killed from either snaring or coursing and we would urge people to be vigilant and take extra care while out walking your dogs or horse riding.
“We would urge anyone who finds a snare or has information about suspicious activity to call our Essex Police Gypsy, Traveller and Rural Engagement Team on 101.”
