Epping Town Council has been awarded £7,000 from the National Lottery to expand the new café at Jack Silley Pavilion.
The café extension at the Stonards Hill recreation ground will have a new kitchen and internal facilities fully refurbished that will improve hiring space.
The National Lottery’s 'Awards for All' fund can grant up to £10,000 to support organisations who aim to bring people together on community-based projects and events.
Town Mayor councillor Nigel Avey said: “We are very grateful to the National Lottery for this award which will help us create a great new facility for the users of Stonards Hill recreation ground.”
Jack Silley Pavilion is set to café open in April.
