Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was allegedly assaulted in a pub.
Hertfordshire Constabulary were called to reports of an incident at the Blacksmith Arms pub in St Peter’s Street, St Albans, at around 9pm on Sunday (March 17).
A woman, 50s, was allegedly assaulted by a man known to her. Another man is reported to have argued with the suspect.
A 53-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on bail until April 3.
Detective Constable Aaron Golley said: “I am appealing for anyone who might have seen what happened to get in touch so we can get a fuller picture of what occurred.
