A man found dead in Epping Forest by a member of the public has been named.
John Hill, 46, from Woodford, was discovered at around 6.50pm on Thursday, March 7.
Paramedics and Essex Police rushed to the scene on Paul's Nursery Road near the Royal Oak Pub in rural Waltham Abbey but Mr Hill was confirmed dead.
His provisional cause of death has been marked as "undetermined".
Caroline Beasley-Murray, Senior Coroner at Essex Coroners' Court, presided over a short inquest which will now be adjourned until September 9, 2019.
Police have appealed for help to find a dog walker seen near the scene of the death.
