An appeal for information has been launched following an aggravated burglary where four men entered a property and threatened a woman.

Police were called at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, May 1, to the address of the victim off Roundhills, Waltham Abbey.

The suspects had jumped over a garden fence and entered a back door where they demanded money from the woman before leaving empty handed.

All four men have been described as being in their late teens to early twenties.

The suspects were described as being black, of a slim build and were wearing dark jackets with their hoods up with their faces covered and wearing gloves.

One of them wore a mask with an open mouth bearing sharp teeth on it and was also dressed in dark red or burgundy bottoms.

Two boys, aged 15, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary at around 10.25pm the same day in Honey Lane, Waltham Abbey.

They have been released on bail until Sunday, May 26.
