A toddler active playgroup has held two weeks’ worth of celebrations to celebrate the facilities 40th anniversary.

Parents staff and youngsters at Tumble Tots on Hainault Road, Chigwell, kicked-off the celebrations by holding a birthday party at The Victory Hall on Monday, June 24.

Little took part in activities including pretending to make cakes, post birthday cards, play party games and much more.

All children who attended received a special birthday party week sticker and goody bag and for parents, an exclusive competition to win Tumble Tots goodies worth over £200.

The winner will be decided on who made the best party hat design with more birthday themed events expected to last until the end of the week.

Tumble Tots was established in 1979 by Bill Cosgrave, coach for the British Olympic Gymnastics team of 1968, which now has over 300 centres in the UK.

A statement on Tumble Tots website says: “Coming to Tumble Tots also gives children the chance to develop their social skills by interacting with other children and adults.

“Attending weekly not only contributes children’s recommended activity levels, but also introduces them to structure which in turn prepares them for school.

“Each 45-minute session has been carefully designed and structured to enhance a child’s physical development skills alongside their social and cognitive development.

“Taking part in an activity such as Tumble Tots improves a child’s brain development by enhancing both fine and gross motor skills, as well as so many other benefits that both children and parents enjoy.”
