A man has been charged with imitation firearms offences and theft following several incidents across Essex and Hertfordshire.

Danny Coburn, 43, of Wittonwood Road, Frinton, is alleged to have committed the offences on Wednesday, July 3.

He has been charged with two counts of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence at addresses in Waltham Abbey and Stevenage.

He has also been charged with aggravated burglary in relation to the incident in Waltham Abbey, and theft from a home in Cheshunt.

He was due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court, Friday, July 5.

A 47-year-old man from Clacton was also arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and aggravated burglary, in relation to the incident in Waltham Abbey.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
