A man has died after crashing into a tree last night.
The 25-year-old man from North Weald died from his injuries, his family has been informed.
The incident happened on Chelmsford Road in Hatfied Heath at around 11.10pm, Thursday, 8 August.
There were no other people travelling in the vehicle.
Essex Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are asking anyone with information or dash cam footage to call our Serious Collision Investigations Team on 101 quoting incident 1421 of 08/08/
