Pupils who are part of Chigwell School’s Chapel Choir performed at an open service St Paul’s Cathedral after receiving an invitation.
More than 600 people from across the world attended the Evensong service held at the London landmark on Tuesday, September 9.
This year, the choir sang ‘Like as the Hart’ by Herbert Howells, along with his setting of Psalm 26 and Charles Villiers Stanford’s ‘Evening Canticles in A, op 12.’
It is always an honour for us to be invited to sing in this world-famous Cathedral with its magnificent acoustic sound.
Chigwell School’s director of music, Howard Ebden said: “There are exquisite moments at the ends of musical phrases, listening to the notes reverberate around the nave.”
