Cricket fans got a chance to see the sport's world cup trophy when it was brought to the borough.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s World Cup Trophy visited Leyton Cricket Hub at Leyton Sports Ground last Tuesday.
The visit was arranged to thank the East London cricket community for inspiring so many people to play the play the game and to involve people in the area in the celebrations.
Former England and Essex battling legend Graham Gooch spoke at the opening of the £1.7 million cricket hub on June 26.
The centre was intended to build on the rich heritage in the borough and designed to enable people who might otherwise struggle to access cricket facilities to play.
