An inquest has opened after a missing man was found dead near a woodland area.
33-year-old Lloyd Blundell was found near Upshire Road, Waltham Abbey, Saturday, September 7, just over three weeks after he was last seen or heard.
Concerns for Mr Blundell’s whereabouts came after did not show up to meet up with his sister on Friday, August 23.
His family launched an online appeal via Facebook just 24 hours before Essex Police and paramedics received reports of a body found near Waltham Abbey Car Boot Sale.
Essex Coroner’s Service confirmed his death, saying that the investigation is ongoing, with an inquest date scheduled for February 6, 2020.
At the time of the incident, officers were initially treating the death as unexplained.
