A secondary saw record number of parents and prospective pupils attend an open morning.
More than 1,300 year 5 and 6 students visited Debden Park High School on Willingale Road, Loughton on Saturday, September 21.
Teachers and current pupils were on hand to answer questions to those deciding where to study next September.
Head of school Helen Gascoyne said: "The morning was hugely successful with more than 1,300 visitors - a new school record!
"All subject areas and teams were involved in various exciting activities which enabled the parents and children to ask questions, get involved and really feel the outstanding atmosphere that surrounds the school on a daily basis.
"It is important that we host events such as this so that the local community can really feel the school's energy and see the amazing, inspiring activities that our teaching staff have to offer."
