Pupils celebrated World Mental Health Day by going to school in their comfiest clothes and taking part in pottery workshops.

Children at Epping Primary School celebrated the event on October 10, with the day focused on the wellbeing of the pupils and staff.

Activities included mindful art, visits to the sensory room, yoga, pottery workshops, meditation and baking. Pupils also spent time outside enjoying the fresh air with forest school sessions along with games and mile runs.

Several local organisations shared their time and skills with the students including Zinc Arts, a local community centre; Emma Pierce Yoga and Brambles Forest Schools.

Inclusion manager Suzy Cosloo said: “We were so pleased with how much the pupils enjoyed the day and how well they were able to share ways in which they keep their minds and bodies healthy.”
