A flash mob brought a Tesco to a standstill as almost 50 dancers strutted their stuff in the aisles.
On Sunday, November 27 Waltham Abbey Tesco’s was bought to a standstill at midday.
Dance academy ‘Streetz Ahead’ put on a four-minute flash mob dance performance of Thriller.
The routine started with one younger dancer laying on the floor as shoppers dubiously walk past. The routine grew and grew until the floor was filled with 44 dancers aged 8 – 22 performing the original Michael Jackson choreography to Thriller.

Michelle Hawkes, founder of the Dancescape Studios Waltham Abbey, where the academy is based, said: “It only started as a little performance idea and just grew with only 1 full rehearsal these kids blow me away every time!
“I don’t think any of us realised we would get quite as many crowds!
“We have received so many shares, likes and amazing comments on social media.”
The flash mob followed a successful weekend for the dance academy, with competition troupes winning 3rd and 1st places at Kent Dance Challenge.
