Dog owners are being asked to enter their pet in a hospice’s seventh annual ‘Cutest Canine’ competition.

The competition, organized by St Clare’s Hospice in Hastingwood, will launch in January 2020 as part of their Winter Walkies event.

Pictures of handsome hounds and pretty pups will be judged on the charity’s social media pages where followers can vote for their favourite.

Last year’s contest was won by Elsa the pug from Harlow.

The winner will officially receive a dog hamper and ‘lead the pack’ at the annual 5km Winter Walkies countryside walk, taking place on Sunday 23rd February 2020.

The upcoming event has been sponsored by Epping-based vets, Forest Veterinary Centre.

Emma Broadbent challenges and events fundraiser for St Clare’s Hospice said: “Yes, it’s back – our favourite campaign of the year, dedicated to celebrating the cutest dogs in our local community.”

“If you think your dog stands a chance at getting the most ‘likes’ and winning the competition, then you absolutely have to get in touch and send in a photo.

“We love seeing your entries and can’t wait for the competition to begin. May the best dog win.”
