An appeal has been launched for information following a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The incident was reported within the Sewardstone Road area in Waltham Abbey at around 3pm on Saturday, December 14.

It is believed the vehicle may have left the scene.

It was also reported that he injured pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was taken back to his home address by a taxi which has been described as a small grey/cream minivan.

He then became unwell and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Essex Police is urging anyone who saw what happened or has CCTV or dash cam footage of the incident to come forward.

Officers also need to speak to the driver of the taxi who brought the man back to his home address as he may have information which is important to our investigation.
