A charity who helps people with physical and learning difficulties whilst offering support to their families is calling for new volunteers to sign up.

Accuro Care Services, who provide care and support across west Essex, is opening its doors to anyone wanting for help adults and children ages eight and above with disabilities.

Members of the community will be given information on ways that they could get involved with the charity on Volunteer Open Day.

Volunteer coordinator at Accuro, Helen Kenny said: “Volunteers are at the heart of what do at Accuro and we’re keen to give back to those giving their time to charity by providing opportunities for personal development.”

Ms Kenny said: “Volunteering not only benefits our charity in a huge way, it can also open doors for those looking for work experience or those just looking to learn new skills or meet new people.

“We try to provide as wide a range of Volunteering opportunities as we can, be it within one of our kids clubs, assisting at a fundraising event or office admin.

“We like to give back to those giving their time to us.”

Last year, Loughton Town Festival selected Accuro as one of their charities to fundraise for over the course of four weeks, generating over £1,1,00 in donations.

Ms Kenny added: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone that attended. Volunteers are incredibly valuable to us here at Accuro.

“It’s fantastic also to know that members of our local community are keen to get involved and make a real difference in the lives of people with a disability.”

Accuro’s Volunteer Open Day will be held on Thursday, May 23.
