A new coffee is set open to open its doors at a hospice in time for Valentine’s Day.

St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood will launch Café Clare to visitors and patients every Friday morning from 9.30am – 12pm.

A range of continental breakfast bites, teas and coffee, will be on the menu for guests to try with all purchases going back into the charity’s funds.

“Just like a regular high-street coffee shop, Café Clare offers a place to meet and connect with other local people in the beautiful setting of your local hospice,” explains Jane Iskander, day therapy manager at St Clare Hospice.

“You may have heard of Café Clare before through our Day Therapy programme.

“We are excited to open this service up to anyone in the community who would like to visit St Clare for a ‘cuppa’ and a croissant.

“We really want this space to become a communal environment where people can come to socialise over a bite to eat.”

St Clare Hospice will host a launch event for Café Clare on Friday, February 14.
