Competitors and their frying pans are wanted to take part in the upcoming 10th annual Waltham Abbey Town Partnership Pancake Races.

The popular will be held on the morning of Tuesday, February 25, outside the library on Sun Street, Waltham Abbey.

With no age limit, children and adults of all ages are welcome – the oldest competitor in 2019 was 84.

The first race, for businesses in the town, will be at 10am, with other races for under 5s at 10.30am, under 16s at 11am, parents and carers at 11.15am, and seniors 11.30am.

Tiffany Bouskioa of Love Tiffany in Sun Street and Hannah Roberts of The Hair Lounge in the Market Square, are in training to go for the double and win the local businesses’ race.

Josh O’Brien, manager of Tesco Waltham Abbey, who won last year, is planning to compete again and ensure neither of them get a double win.

This year’s event is being sponsored by Tesco Ltd and Duncan Phillips Estate Agency.
