A man's car keys were taken from him at knifepoint in Harlow earlier this month.
Essex Police are only now appealing for information following the incident on Tuesday, March 10.
The victim, a 19-year-old man from Sawbridgeworth, was sitting in his vehicle chatting to a friend when a car pulled up behind, while he was parked in Chippingfield at 9.30pm, with its full beam lights on.
A moped rider allegedly approached the driver’s side of the victim’s car before threatening the occupants with a knife.
The suspects left with the victim's car keys; Essex Police believe they were disturbed after security lights from a neighbouring property activated.
Anyone with information is asked to call Harlow CID on 101 quoting 42/38459/20 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
