Waltham Forest and Redbridge experienced a spike of more than 50 new Covid-19 cases over 24 hours.
In Waltham Forest 32 new coronavirus cases were confirmed, while Redbridge recorded 22 further cases, Public Health England has confirmed.
There are now 95 confirmed cases in Waltham Forest and 89 in Redbridge.
London accounts for 3,919 of the UK’s 11,658 cases of the deadly virus which has so far claimed 578 lives.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for Covid-19coronavirus, Downing Street confirmed today.
"He was tested for coronavirus on the personal advice of England's chief medical officer, Professor Chris Whitty," a statement said.
He will remain in charge of the government's coronavirus plans while self-isolating in Downing Street.
