A heartless crook withdrew a four-figure sum of cash from an elderly woman's bank account after posing as bank worker to rob her.
An 85-year-old woman was robbed at her home in Epping on Monday, February 10.
Essex Police has only now launched an appeal to locate a man wanted for questioning in relation to the incident.
The force has released an image of the man they wish to speak to.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We received reports that a man posing as a bank worker attended the home of the 85-year-old before snatching her bank card out of her hand.
"The man went to Barclays Bank in Epping High Road at around 3.30pm that day and withdrew a four-figure sum of cash.
"Anyone with information is asked to call Loughton CID on 101 quoting crime reference 42/24945/20 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
