A HAUL of suspected drugs were seized by police after concerned residents tipped them off about potential dealing.

Officers from Colchester's community policing team went to an address in Brinkley Place on Thursday afternoon after the alarm was raised.

Two men run away from the house but were stopped by officers.

They were found to be carrying a large quantity of suspected class A and B drugs, as well as cash.

A 28-year-old man from Maldon and a 29-year-old man from Colchester were arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to supply drugs.

They have been released under investigation.
