A man has been charged with the murders of his two children after they were both stabbed at their home.
Nadarajah Nithiyakumar, 40, of Aldborough Parade, Ilford, was charged yesterday (May 8) with the murders of his two children as he appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates' Court.
Police were called to the address on Aldborough Parade at around 5.30pm on April 26, to reports of a man and two children being injured.
This included his daughter Pavinya Nithiyakumar, 19-months-old, and his three-year-old boy Nigish Nithiyakumar.
The daughter was pronounced dead at the scene, while the boy was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service where he died.

Nithiyakumar was also found suffering knife injuries and was taken to hospital.

Nithiyakumar was arrested on April 29 at a London hospital where he was receiving treatment.
He was discharged from hospital late on Thursday (May 7) and was charged the following day.
