A man has been arrested after allegedly threatening members of the public while wealding a knife in Harlow.

Essex Police was alerted to reports a man had been seen with a knife and making threats in Orchard Croft, Netteswell, shortly before 11pm yesterday (Monday, May 18)

Police officers arrived at the scene only five minutes after being called to the incident; a 30-year-old man was arrested a short while later.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and currently remains in police custody.
