A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Harlow town centre yesterday evening.

Police were called to reports a man had been injured in an assault in The Rows, Harlow, shortly after 9.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, May 19).

The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his body.

His injuries are not considered to be serious, Essex Police said.

Detectives are treating the assault as an isolated attack, with “no further risk to the public”.

A 33-year-old man from Harlow has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident. Those with information are asked to contact Harlow CID on 101.

Officers are patrolling in the town today; residents with concerns or information are urged to approach them.
