A police officer who asked a revenge porn victim to send him nude pictures has been booted out of the force.
PC Kevin Mohess of the North East Command Unit – which polices Waltham Forest and Newham – attended the address of a vulnerable female while on duty in October 2018.
The victim wished to report that nude and intimate pictures of her had been circulated on social media without her permission.
In the following months PC Mohess twice contacted the victim via social media suggesting they meet for a drink and that she should send him nude pictures.
The victim recognised PC Mohess – who had used confidential information obtained in his role as a police officer to contact the woman – as an officer she had reported her crime to.
A met police panel found all the allegations to be proven and ruled the appropriate sanction was a dismissal without notice.
