Watford fans had their first taste of football's 'new normal' on Saturday when they cheered on from home as the Hornets battled back to earn a last-gasp 1-1 draw against Leicester City.

The Hornets played their first game since the restart of the Premier League, but it was a new experience for players and fans alike as the match took place behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead of being played out in front of packed stands at Vicarage Road, the fixture was staged against a backdrop of seats covered with banners, shirts and scarves as supporters were forced to follow the match from home.

These Hornets fans didn't let the disappointment of not being able to be at the game get them down though, and got in touch with their pictures and messages as they watched Craig Dawson's injury-time bicycle kick snatch a point against the high-flying Foxes

Watford Observer:

Frankie Bambrough was watching the game at home in his kit, cheering on his favourite team. COME ON YOU HORNS !!

From Gez Kelly: Supporting as I have since moving to Ireland 20 years ago after 40 years of home and away, rarely missing a game. Watching TV, checking websites, subscribing to the programme and get every snippet I can from the Watford Observer.

Watford Observer:

James Winter was watching the game on his own in Somerset.

Watford Observer:

Russ and son Alby Barker were watching from home in Wymondham, Norfolk. It formed part of the Father's Day weekend where daughter Amelie (who shockingly doesn't like football) was forced to join us! Wife Amanda was also cheering on the Golden Boys, whilst the kids provided drinks and snacks throughout the match.
