Police are investigating a reported rape in Buckhurst Hill over the weekend.
Detectives believe the attack happened in an area between The Monkhams pub and Roding Valley Hall in Station Way between 7pm on Saturday, July 18 and 5.30am on Sunday, July 19.
The incident was reported to the police yesterday (Monday, July 20).
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "The victim is being supported by specialist officers.
"We are carrying out enquiries in an area between The Monkhams pub and Roding Valley Hall in Station Way.
"Anyone who was in the area between 7pm on Saturday and 5.30am on Sunday and saw anything suspicious is asked to call the Adult Sexual Abuse Investigation Team based in Grays on 101 quoting incident 305 of 20 July."
