Update 9am August 12: Herbert Russell has been found.
A missing elderly man was sighted in Coopersale yesterday.
Officers are looking for 85 year-old Herbert Russell, who has gone missing from Ongar.
Herbert went missing at about 8.50am yesterday (August 10) in Ongar.
Detectives have reported he has since been seen on Epping Road in the Coopersale area, heading towards Epping from North Weald at about 11.50am yesterday.
Inspector James Healy said: “Herbert’s been missing for more than 24 hours now and we’re really concerned for his welfare.
“If you’ve seen him, think you’ve seen him, or have any information about where he is we need you to call us.”
If you have any information about where he is please call police on 101 quoting incident 358 of 10 August.
