Over the course of lockdown almost 120 homes were sold in Epping Forest.

On March 23 Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced strict measures to limit freedom of movement and slow the spread of coronavirus.

From that day until June 12 (the most up-to-date available data), 119 homes were sold across the district, according to HM Land Registry data.

The most expensive home, a property in Hainault Road, Chigwell, went for £1.9 million at the start of June.

There were another six sales of properties for more than £1 million.

A home in Copthall Green, Waltham Abbey, sold for £1.57 million and another in Wellfields, Loughton, sold for £1.5 million.

The cheapest deals saw a flat in The Broadway, Loughton, sold for £60,000 and a garage in Copperfield, Chigwell, exchange hands for just £17,000.

In Harlow the cheapest sale saw a property in Clifford Close go for £129,500 while two properties in Howard Close, Waltham Abbey, both sold for under £200,000.
