Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing in Watford town centre.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says a 45-year-old man from Watford is in police custody after a woman was found with suspected knife wounds on Wednesday morning.
Police said they were called to reports of an injured woman at a block of flats in Granville Road at around 10.20am.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with stab wounds and she was taken to hospital.
Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing, police added.
A police helicopter was deployed to help search for the attacker, which police say was known to the victim, but said on Wednesday afternoon that they had been unable to track down their suspect.
However, this morning, police confirmed an arrest had since been made.
