A man was left with serious injuries after being stabbed in Southend.
Police took to Southchurch Road just after 2am this morning (October 1), after receiving a call from the ambulance service with reports a man in his 30s had been stabbed.
He has since been taken to hospital, and the road will be closed between Lovelace Gardens and Surbiton Road throughout the morning.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area where possible.
A spokesperson from Essex Police, said: "If anyone has CCTV of the area or dashcam footage they are asked to call us on 101 quoting incident 67 of 1 October, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
